Idea 3: Dutch Peekaboo Braid
How to Make
The Dutch braid is similar to a French braid but uses an inverted braiding technique. Instead of crossing the strands over the center, each strand is crossed underneath the center strand. This technique causes the braid to appear raised above the hair surface, which makes the hidden color more visible within the braid structure.
To create this braid, begin by dividing a section of hair near the crown into three strands. Start braiding by crossing each side strand underneath the center strand rather than over it. As the braid moves downward, gradually add hair from each side before crossing the strands underneath again. This process continues until the braid reaches the nape of the neck. The remaining hair can then be braided normally to complete the style. Because the braid sits on top of the hair rather than blending into it, the peekaboo color becomes highly visible between the raised braid strands.
